Hi there,
A just got an XM and i am trying to find out/understand as much as i can about the car.
To the best of my knowedge its a 1989 model 2000cc.
I am used to older technology, less complicated cars.
I am the proud owner of a Sunbeam Alpine S1 ( 1959 model)
a Mini clubman 1974 model

Hi, welcome to the forum

Congratulations on your XM, when they first came out they were deemed very complicated but by modern standards they are relatively simple once you have grasped the hydraulics, although that is only basic physics.

My wife worked in a Rootes garage in the '60s and sold Alpines new!

Yes a very warm welcome to the Forum and we all love the early models! There is plenty of knowledge and expertise available here and please do ask for any help required. With regards. Matthew T.

Welcome, another early one surfaces, or do we already know about this one.
Some more pictures and RP number would be useful.

I'll look up the details for your car later, but in the meantime, If you need parts I have an immaculate 1990 car for breaking. The interior and exterior plastics are a different colour to 1992 onwards cars.
Early cars:
Interior plastics Black, outside plastics Grey
Later cars:
Interior plastics Hurricane Grey, outside plastics Black.
