Bought a New Old XM ;D

Hello everyone. I've recently purchased my beautiful 1992 XM after I was no longer able to resist the cars 80s-esque charm.

I remembered the other day that this forum was a thing since I actually read quite a lot on here when I was looking into buying the car. I thought I'd come back and check out what people were talking about on here and ended up creating an account. I'm interested in just getting to know some people in the community and sharing a few conversations and discussions.

I've never felt so attached to any of my cars, and I've only had my XM for a few weeks. Would love to hear from you!

Thanks

Hi, and welcome.
Glad the Forum succeeded in whetting your appetite for one of these fabulous vehicles.
Do post a few details about the car, and some photos too.
Whereabouts are you based?

Still trying to work out what 'ONMBDM' might stand for...!

Yes as Chris says please let us know more about the car and where you’re based.

Ray.

I personally prefer early S1 to slightly later ones.

Hey again, not been on in a few days since the car started giving me a bit of grief the other day, I've had to take it to the garage and pay for a diagnosis, nothing major anyway, I'm sure.

But to answer some of your questions...
I live in Birmingham, UK & ONMBDM is mine and my missus' initials both combined  Cheesy I know! ;)

The car is a 1992 2.1SD, I'll take some snaps for you guys when I get her back too!

Please feel free to drop some photos of your cars into the thread I'd love to see!

Cheers!

Agree. There is no diagnostics on this engine, it's all mechanical.

Welcome! I'm up the road a bit in Congleton, but my XM is languishing off road without an MOT at the moment, waiting for me to get my fixing mojo back. (This pains me.)

There's a thread on here somewhere with a register of all member's cars, but I urge you to focus on getting some pics of yours on this thread first!
