The non-working speedo will most likely be a broken or detached cable Peter and the first place to check is behind the instruments. With regards, Matthew T.

Thanks again Matthew is it a nightmare to get at? One final question for this evening.....what batteries fit the remote blip key? My dear old dad must have removed them so I can't identify them !

Just sent you a test message, Pibbow.
After hitting Submit, it took about 30sec to show up as sent: Message appears as an item in your Outbox, and disappears from there when the recipient reads it. That way, you know when a message has been read.

Hi Peter. Your car looks good and I'm glad you are resurrecting it, especially considering it's family history and rarity. Following your story is kinda motivating me to do something with mine.

£20 for a gear knob though? Blimey.

Good luck and just keep thinking of what it will be like when it's all sorted, (if an old car ever can be, of course!)

LG.

Well guys what an eventful couple of weeks since I first posted my story.

This weekend I had the absolute pleasure of having Malcolm Orme from Savoy Citroen come and visit us and my xm. After a brief look over I was glad to hear my suspicions were correct and she is in pretty good shape.

I'll be taking her down for Malcolm to get stuck in as soon as an can get a couple of days away from work . Can't wait!
