Well it's taken some time but she if finally at Savoy for Malcolm to get stuck in. One major surprise she needs a steering rack[emoji853] so that will eat up some of the budget. Going in for an MOT in a day or two then we can use that and Malcolm's list to put a programme together.

Many thanks for the update Peter and was good to hear the car has been taken on by Malcolm, who I recently met and spoke to at the Northern Rally. That is certainly disappointing news about the replacement rack required and I wonder what has failed? The rack can be removed with a struggle as you may have spotted in Dean's recent thread! Please do keep us posted and the all the best of luck with the work. With regards, Matthew T.

Hi Dieselman

Thanks, was trying to remember about a front subframe bolt change from 10mm to 12mm.
My false memory had it as the rack fixing bolts.
Now tracked it down as being the roll bar fixing bolts.
Track rod ends was a Mk 2 change and not across all models.
Also found a ram to rack bolt and washer change early Mk 1 for a modified ram.

This page seems to indicate 5 variants of RHD rack, depending on engine fitted. https://www.ilcats.ru/citroen/?function ... anguage=en" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Long time no post! I finally have had a chance to collect her from Malcolm, he's done an awful lot of work and put time into getting her road worthy. First impressions on my 200 mile trip back to Glasgow. Not too shabby for a old girl! Runs very well smooth ride and the motor pulls like a train. A huge thank you to my new friend and fellow lunatic Malcolm, your a bloody star mate thank you so much.
