Newbie?

Post by alanr » Sun Nov 22, 2009 5:00 pm

Hello. I'm Alan and I've owned XMs since 1995. The first was a 1990 (1989-built) S1 V6 Si manual, which I still have awaiting major repair to the non-functioning front suspension. The second was a 1994 S1 24v, my favourite, which I still have awaiting major repair after the engine blew. The current one is a 2.0 Turbo Exclusive I've been driving since May 2008.

My dad has a 2.0 estate, a V6 estate and a 2.0 CT estate, so our combined experience is considerable (though we're still often dazed and confused). And he's currently driving an AX of mine, and I also have a Xantia V6. Someone ought to tell me that's quite enough...

Hello Andy. The head gasket failed after the bottom hose expired. Skimming and appropriate gaskets are required, when I can afford it. It's not for sale, I'm afraid.

What parts do you need for your 24v's?? Let me guess ALL TOP end stuff?? My 24v thank god has had all the top end done in the past by Citroen so mines a gem now.. Ive got the old 24v lump in the shed with the buggered heads... Ill open it up one day.
