Looking for advice, I am about to buy a 1995 White M reg XM V6 Manual LHD (M199VDO) and just needed some advice re pricing and if I'm mad.
I have owned an XM back in the day and just love the car.

HI and welcom. I'm no expert but there are plenty here. Common sense would say "don't do it! Get a Mondeo instead."
However, if you've got the spare cash and it's a hobby/ passion, go for it. I wouldn't bank on it being any kind of investment though. I buy cars because I like them. I sometimes wish I was the sort of bloke that was happy with a Mondeo but I'm not. (Nothing in particular against Mondeos by the way!) A Mondeo might get me from A to B, but an XM, (if I could get one on the road!) would get me from A to B AND make me feel good into the bargain.
I've absolutely no clue on price. I would think that in the world of XMs everyone is different. Are you looking at a restoration project or a show stopper? Any pics?

Thanks for posts link below . I can get this for less that the asking price and full yrs MOT and all advisories sorted, new window motors etc etc and leaky steering rack fixed. Naturally knew dealer paid £850 before doing it up to sell on but naturally asking over the odds at 5K.

I loved it and brought it back to UK where I reregistered it as M199VDO. It was later sold it with some defects. Apparently they were fixed and i am curious to know how it turned out in the longer term.
Hoping to hear.
