It is KQHcR...Vert Vega / Emerald.

The code change is the later PSA coding, as opposed to the earlier Citroen code. The cR denotes it has a lacquer topcoat...of which yours is shaling on the roof. They all do that Sir...

Koh is the colour.. Cr tells you it's a hatch not an estate or wagon as you call them

Is that right? I've never looked on estates, will take time to look, but am fairly sure the cR denotes lacquer coat.
I suspect estates just don't show the cR, due to being built by Huliez, not Citroen.
I don't see why the paint colour code would denote saloon, or estate, body style...the VIN does that.

The colour is kqh, not koh.

I believe it's a misconception, driven by no estates having the cR suffix.

My guess says it stands for "c'est réfléchissant"..."it is reflective".

Some of the paints with this coating used to be referred to as "Superlustre". Black was one of them. A solid colour with transparent coating to add lustre.

#metoo...

I used to think it was for metallic/pearlescent colours, but then saw it on solid colour cars.

Clear coat, it was the worst paint decision ever for Australia, they all peel under our extremely hot Sun. However, the XM is not a problem, unlike every other car with it. Only the roof has to be rubbed back. Every other car has pillars, which, to do a perfect job, also have to be rubbed back.
And thanks for your great advice about the chrome strips Dieselman. They are coming up awesome.

Hello Karu. I just want to jump between lines and say how happy I'm for your lucky found. Especially in place where XM's ara so rare to find and for such a unbelievable price :o . I was always scared about these big 24V V6 engines, so decide to turn my head towards a diesel (maybe more reliable ). Anyway, good luck with your great Citroen Karu.
