XM fans!!

Despite currently having a few issues with the 12v auto and feeling a bit peeved, my spirits were revived today by two nice people stopping to remark admiringly on the car.

The first occasion was in a country lane lay-by when a chap in a 4x4 wound down his window and said 'I always wanted one of those, what a great looking car!' - apparently a friend or relation previously owned an XM and he himself once had an SM! A further accolade was that the man actually ran a local business restoring very sexy 1960's Corvettes!

Later on in the day I was outside my house tinkering when a older lady stopped to comment 'we like your cars'. Apparently she lived nearby and regularly saw our collection parked up!

Anyway it is encouraging to know that there is an appreciation of the model, both among car enthusiasts and other 'normal' folk!

I think the reason I don't get positive comments is because they can't keep up to catch me...
