Someone please rescue this XM from the scrappers! Yet another case it seems of misdiagnosis from a so-called Citroen specialist, resulting in premature end of life for the car.

Chris dont panic too much just at the moment. The car is still showing tax n test .. be has spent a lot on it too..

Xms are not for careless owners,like most of you guys allready know.
If he wants to scrap it for a 20€ part,which is btw wrongly diagnosed,let him scrap it.It could be two things...abs relay table or abs control unit...both about are about 20€ used.
I posted a "how to" repair abs relay table in self help files for about 30min and 5€.
All he needed to do is just to search for repair info on the forum, and to listen what others allready adviced him to....but noooooo he wants to argue for something he doesn't even know what it is or where it is located on the car.

Thanks to "professionals" like them,XMs are almost vanished and again...thanks to them we have an opportunity to buy a good examples with a minimun of investment.
All good examples are just in the hands of enthusiasts who work alone on their cars.

Let him scrap it,find out where the car ended and buy it for dirt cheap.

To the OP of this thread,

If you no longer want this XM due to an issue with the ABS valve block (not a pump), then I kindly ask you to sell it to an enthusiast who will take care of it and rectify the problem. Please don't scrap it.

Some have peculiar ways to get their kicks. It's hard to make a diagnosis based on just posts on a forum. I respect how the community deals with the occasional discords. I may have overstepped the line myself sometime.
Losing another XM due to a hiccup is unfortunate, but some parts may end up in the possession of those who will benefit.
