Yes...Dieselman is right Dean.
Injectors for V6 S1 and 2.0i S1 are completely the same and i allready pointed that out few times before.
They are Bosch 0 280 150 762.
The exception is 2.0i with Marelli G5 multpoint injection which have MM injectors, while Bosch ones are yellow...the MM ones are black... but with the same spec like Bosch ones.

When i replaced injectors on my 2.0i,they came from s1 v6 24v because they have exactly the same part number...Bosch 0 280 150 762.

Pretty much every 24v i have seen has been running the Bosch (yellow top) 19lb injectors as used in the 2.0i, i have not seen any photo's of the 12v running those Bosch yellow top injectors, so far as i was aware the early fat body bosch injectors were colour coded depending on flow rates, body size was the same so i am not sure why i could not make my 2.0i ones fit the 12v but they didn't.

I will look closer at it again Misha when i dig them out for Will.

Will, i will send you a couple of the yellow bosch ones from the 2.0i and a couple of black Bosch ones from the spare V6 engine but you will have to test them on your rail as i am tight for time at the moment, you can have them for the postage cost.

All Bosch injectors are color coded Dean....white,yellow,orange,green,brown...etc.
Besides flow rate which is the most important...there is also resistance.

Misha, they are the same-ish and they will fit fine, the Bosch one here looks much taller but the extra height is because it is fitted with a cap and the Siemens injector is not, the injector length difference between the seals is only 1.4mm which would be fine.

Will the black Bosch ones have been binned as they are shorted, i have a few Deka 2892 (285c@3bar), some Deka 863409 (180cc@3bar) and two yellow Bosch 0280150762 (214cc@3bar), you don't want mixed injectors as that will really upset things so if i send off the two Bosch units will that be OK? they are very dirty but they are not shorting so mechanically they should be good.

It would be great...thanks.

It will be the nominal height difference that dictates the use of a different p/n for the V6-12v. The rest of the specs are the same.

Unwrapped the XM from its winter slumber today after getting it all put back together over the last month. The ABS light had been on whenever the ignition was on and i assumed it was because the rear sensors were unplugged, after plugging in the Lexia to clear the codes two remained, control unit disconnected and safety solenoid. Swapping the solenoid unit from the ABs valve block was simple enough but the battery and airbox had to come out to gain access, swapping with a spare has saved the day but with no more spare in stock i need to turn my attention to fixing the duff unit.

Thankfully the new hydraulic pump has solved the belt shredding problems, the belt isn't at all tight and there is no slipping at all and the car shoots up to full height on startup like it used to when i had the 2.0 engine in, the pump is also now very quiet so that is good.

Not such good news is that the intermittent mid range, mid throttle misfire / hesitation is still present although idle is very smooth and there is no issues at WOT so i need to put some serious thought into why the front knock sensor doesn't get power, i also need to put a new TPS on and figure out why it does not generate the voltage signals it is supposed to.
Clocking the sensor round last year to artificially achieve the desired voltage is obviously not a solution and with all the other problems ironed out it's time to resolve this last one properly.

Looking forward to another summer of driving the XM.

This is quite a common problem and cause of the ABS warning message and especially with the V6 Dean and I usually remove from below. I hope that you manage to resolve your other engine running issue. With regards, Matthew T.

Does anyone know of a good company that specialises in unlocking ECU's, in an ideal world i would like to retain the Immo code function but the ECU i have yellow label (pre CC reduction Auto) came with no Code and is nothing but a rather bulky paperweight.

I need to get this ECU on the car before further fault finding can be completed, i know others have said there is no difference in the ECU's to speak of but my car would not run at all well on a green label (pre CC reduction manual) ECU but seems very happy with the white label ecu with a 94 date stamp, this is one of the very last ECU's before the MK2 ECU plug pinout change came into effect and an extra pin was added.
