I don’t plan on having the car in the states. I have family in france and might buy a place there, so I obviously need a cool French car to garage there.
Thanks for all the info, I do plan on catching up on the posts here regarding the suspension.

Re: Newb questions
I had not noticed that you are in the USA. I guess that means that LHD will suit you better.
You are brave attempting to buy an XM without seeing it person (assuming that is the case).
You prompted me to see what the Japanese exporters are offering at present (sometimes they have good deals to clear old Citroens).
I did spot this XM (automatic) with an interesting colour combo: https://www.tradecarview.com/used_car/c ... /23706538/ The pricing seems a little strong on that one.
The same company has a Xantia V6 (same running gear and suspension as the XM in a slightly smaller package): https://www.tradecarview.com/used_car/c ... /23695694/ also a much better price.

Thanks for the reply. Yes I do live in the US but I’m after a LHD to keep in France. I won’t buy unseen, I’ll scout while visiting family in France. I’m not that brave!! Although that second car is interesting.

Re: Newb questions
Look on here for posts from and about "Frederick" in France.
XM specialist and parts supplier in Northern France used by some members on here.
He has a particular interest in V6 XM's so might be worth a visit if you are over there.

Yup thanks for that bit, he appears to be a little north of Paris in Le Plessier-Rozainvillers from the posts I see. I’ll have to find him on my next trip across the pond.
