Citroen 100 La Ferte Vidame

Post by MTXM » Sun Jul 21, 2019 4:04 pm

Just a brief post to report on this amazing event that really is a once in a lifetime experience!! At the peak yesterday there were around seventy XM parked on display with about 100 apparently booked for the long weekend event. I am attending with Paul Stringer in my 1989 V6 that has generated much interest with a huge range of other variants present including another slightly later V6 and 2.0 car. There have been numerous other early V6 and including four 24v. I attach a selection of photos. With regards, Matthew T.

I had forgotten about this until my alarm for it sounded, but hadn't planned on going anyway as I thought it was at Michelin at Clement Ferand.

Was Frederick there in an XM, maybe one of his Multimedia? I could do with making contact for parts.

Were there many parts stalls, or was it more just a mass gathering?

What colour is that V6-24 in the above photo?

Wow, what a show! It's believed about 5000 cars were booked. Not sure if that's a real figure though.
Amazing XM scenes!

Matthew you were caught on camera driving into the event on Ian Seabrooks hubnut video.

The original venue was elsewhere as stated Will and we were sorry not to see you at the event. There were a couple of Multi Medias present but I did not see Frederick. A number of parts stalls were noted but very few XM bits. The 24v was a 1991 model with full Citroen body kit fitted from new in Memphis Blue and plus suede interior and in lovely condition. Another XM highlight was seeing early cars with brown, blue and grey interiors. I think 5k cars would be a very conservative estimate Russ if day visitors were included and do you have a link for the video? With regards, Matthew T.

Our very nice Dutch neighbours on the campsite provided some masking tape! Regards, Matthew T.

I bet the French thought "le Rosbif has gone mad...!"

We, of course, would prefer to say you were quintessentially English.
