For sale TWO XM 2.5TD VSX Manual Estates for Restoration

Hi Everyone

I have not been on here for a very long time, I finally have to concede that these Beautiful cars are not going to be restored in my ownership.

Both cars are 2.5TD Manual VSX Estates one White build no 6433 one Brown build number (6430 I think as difficult to read) both 1994 on a "M" registration plate.

Both have been unused for some time, they are both complete apart from the nearside front sidelight lens which is missing on the white car. the headlining has been replaced in both cars however on the brown car the adhesive I used was not heat proof and has dropped again, I made the same mistake on the white car but removed it all again and refitted with the correct adhesive and that is fine now both have the original radio cassette players and the codes are present, both have cruise control but on the white car the cruise control button in the dash is a modified OE foglamp switch, the lacquer on the brown car is coming off everywhere, however the white car would clean up ok

Both are velour interiors which are in good condition without rips of tears and only slight creasing on the drivers bolsters

If anyone is interested in either of the cars please get in touch, and I will answer your questions honestly, I will not break the cars they must be sold as a whole vehicles it would be a shame for these cars to go the way of so many of these cars.

Given that these cars are not currently roadworthy it would help to know what part of the country the are in.

I have tried numerous times to upload photo's but to no avail, if anyone can let me know the procedure I would be grateful. If anyone would like photographs or video of the cars running please send me your WhatsApp details and and I will send them through.

Quick Update, I have started both cars this morning and both fired up fine, the White car initially did not want to rise but I have exercised the height control many times as was very stiff and it now raises and lowers as well as the Brown car, I was amazed that they both started so readily with a Jump start (Both batteries are beyond being revived) both cars have moved under their own steam and have been run up to operating temperature with no visible leaks that I can see.

Sageman has very kindly offered to embed the photo's into my post (as I am unable to negotiate the system) so I have Emailed Photo's of the Exterior and Interior of both cars to him so shortly there should be something for everybody to look at shortly

Thank you Sageman, Agreed yes interesting paintwork, no Idea why the clearcoat and the Brown Metallic basecoat have gone to that extent in some places and not in others, the nearside virtually has not suffered at all yet offside and the roof have suffered so badly
