Glass model wanted!

Currently, there are 2 glass XMs listed on eBay for £40.00 or £44.00

I believe that these glass models were related to the XM launch presentations.
Free issue items to invited guests.
There was a small difference in those for the French launch compared to the UK launch.
Not in the glass model but in the engraving on the baseplate.
Those given out at Nice include mention of that event.
Those issued at the Devon event omit any mention of location.
I only became aware of this difference last year when shown one by someone who was at the Nice event.

My dad gave me mine in 1990. He worked at roker park in Sunderland and was friends with the manager of the Citroen dealer across the road after buying a zx I think.
Mine is in a big white box which says "Citroen xm launch September 1989 Monte Carlo"

I'll try and post a pic, but my experience with other car forums makes me think I won't succeed

That you have the original box as well as the display plinth and glass model should be of interest to the collectors among us.
The engraving on the plinth plate indicates that it was almost certainly presented at the UK launch.
That does not detract from its completeness as a rare XM item.
