Injectors sticking after a layup is very common, all mine were frozen shut when I got the engine, testing the injector feeds is a good idea but it’s easier to lift the fuel rail out and lay it on a cloth to see what’s happening, just because they trigger, doesn’t mean you have fuel.

Hi again, looking for some more advice regarding the fuel injectors on the V6. I need a service kit, because the rubbers ain't great and it would be good to ensure they will stand up against the ethanol content of modern petrol. Dieselman gave me loads of information about them being Siemens Dekra 2892's. The numbers on the injectors are 2892 and 069f, I have been speaking to a supplier via eBay but he is not able to confirm which is the right kit for the XM. Does anyone have any further info, or the name of a supplier so I can get a kit ordered? Also do Bosch do the 2892, if so, do their kits fit the Siemens, or is it possible the XM has Bosch injectors fitted (there isn't a name on them). Thats a long post, I will continue looking but I know you guys are experts in this stuff. Cheers...Derek

The injectors are made by Seimens, however the seals are just O rings, so any supplier should be able to obtain appropriately sized ones.
Measure the internal diameter and the wall thickness.
The Citroen p/n is 198127 and you may find the dealer can supply these.
Viton is the recommended material for petrol and ethanol.

Thanks for this, it seems the difference is, some injectors have a smaller o ring at one end, than the other and some are both the same. So I am sure we should be able to sort it. Hi All, I thought I would give an update, as today is the day the V6 fired up. The issue with the injectors was resolved, they were gunked up, the relay was fine. We have now identified the service kit required for the injectors, thanks to Dieselman and the guy at master.injector-uk. They are Siemens Deka, as stated by Dieselman and the o rings are the same size, top and bottom (some of them have different sized o rings, top and bottom). The other thing that was preventing the engine running properly, was a corroded dizzy. It has been cleaned but I will need a new one of those.
The other thing to come from today, is that the suspension system has at least 2 leaks, which means it can't pressurise. I am going to post some pictures but one leak seems to be a corroded pipe and the other maybe a seal. It maybe that we need to consider replacing all of the pipes, once Peter has had a chance to have a good look at them. It seems they are 3.5mm bore, does that sound right? If we change them I would propose to use Kunifer, again is this an acceptable change? The big issue is finding a flaring tool at the right sort of price. I have found 3.5mm Citroen tools but including all of the bits, I am looking at £200, anyone have any suggestions about this.
Any way it was a big day, the V6 firing up after 21 years or so. The video I am attaching is the first time it fired, it is now starting and idling properly. There are plenty of warning lights on the dash, partly because the front brakes are stripped off (they were seized) and the suspension fluid is low.
Onwards and upwards....

Yes standard suspension feed pipe front to rear is 3.5mm pipe.. to the centre blocks and height corrector.. brake pipe line is 4.5mm pipe.. and hp pump to flow divider and divider to regulator and regulator to back of engine bay along the subframe is 6mm pipe iirc or 6.5mm possibly.
Yes DO use cunifer kuprel nickel pipe. Its rot resistant and highly flexible and so easy to shape into place. Once done and if done neatly pipes can virtually be forgotton about

Listening to the video clip, the engine is firing on 5 cylinders, which you may already be aware of.
In my experiece the likely fault is the HT leads.
You will become used to the low fuel warning lamp being illuminated and the engine running out of fuel...
It's unusual for the hydraulic pipes to corrode at those two locations, they must have been sitting wet during lay-up.
The pipe on the Fdv is the return to the reservoir, so the rubber repair is sufficient.
The other pipe needs replacing. I think this is the brake pipe, DIAM 4,5 LONG 2757, but check where it connects.
Unless Peter is likely to be working on Citroens again I would think the most cost effective repair is to take the car to Pleaides in Sawtry, have them replace the pipe and check the spheres, or at least have them make up a pipe to the correct length.
A complete pipe flaring tool, with citroen dies is going to cost about £200, if one already has a tool then dies can be purchased for about £50.
One can make the flaring tools pretty easily out of flat bar, or steel blocks, bolted together and drilled, using a bolt as the die, but one needs time and access to being able to perform rudimentary machining.

Rather than turning the thread off the bolt and driving it with a puller, one can just use the bolt as the die, after greasing the pipe end, or make a seperate keyed die that the bolt forces in, but it doesn't spin.
