Welcome to the forum.
If you add the RP of your car to your forum signature, that will help other members to provide better information. The RP is the coded assembly date of each car.

Like many cars built in smaller volumes, XMs often sat in storage or showrooms for months, even years before being sold.

In June 1996, a new dashboard layout was introduced. The Cruise Control button moved from beside the gear-lever

to the (new) row of switches below the central air vents

Many XMs were not equipped with Cruise Control - in the 1990s Cruise Control was a new technology.
