New Radiator Required

Selling off one (or bits :o) of your XM collection, or perhaps searching for those elusive headlight washer covers? This is the place to do it.

New Radiator Required

Post by Shouky » Tue Jun 17, 2025 1:33 am

Hi All, before I go to the not inconsiderable expense of having one made, as there are none available in Australia. I'm enquiring as to the availability of a new radiator for my Year 2000 XM 3.0 24V Automatic. The alloy core of the radiator is still good, but the plastic side tanks have split and become unserviceable. I have contacted one or two suppliers in Europe, but they refuse to post one to Australia, where I am based. Any advice or suggestions on a supplier would be much appreciated.

On a couple of occasions I have had the same problem getting parts sent to New Zealand and have used parcel forwarding services. I can't recommend any in particular, but a web search for "parcel forwarding xxx to Australia" should give you some options (xxx being the source country). The forwarding company gives a local address to ship to.

Before ordering take care to check that the radiator is correct, as most resellers don't know the difference, particularly between PRV and ES9 engines.

You can do what I had done, and that was to take the plastic ends off and replace them, they do come off very easy, when you have done that you can either get the plastic repaired or find a rad where the alloy core is no good also there is this option now, get the plastic remade by 3D printing

Thanks everyone, I'll go with the one from Spareto. Seems like the best option, and half the price that I've been quoted to have one made. While I'm on the parts search, where is the best place to get a L/Hand side light lens?
