Yep. It was the dealers first demo car, so probably early 1990 and definitely a 2.0i.

ive driven a couple of the early mechanical ignition 2.0's that did this, a bit of a stutter pulling away from idle, changed plugs, dizzy, rotor etc etc with no change and just came to the conclusion it was normal, you have just confirmed it is ;) the bosch management fitted to later cars or the different a/c compessor stopped it i guess..........
