Selling off one (or bits

) of your XM collection, or perhaps searching for those elusive headlight washer covers? This is the place to do it.

COVERS I do have a couple of spares ones if you cannot find any locally, these you can have F.O.C.
Front sidelight, right/offside, - I have a good used one available ( PM sent).

i like the wheels, they're a bit different ..
Genuine Series1 alloys are my favourite XM wheels, with 24v ones a decent 2nd place. Unlike most people I don't go for wobbly webs on a series 1 car.

Many thanks for your comments and offers of parts Guys.
XMX - If you have a spare sidelight and wheel arch plugs I am certainly interested and thanks for your tip about use of the plug on other cars.
Paul - I have managed to find a door at a local breaker, but I would be really grateful for assistance with any of the other parts, especially the driver side plastic trim which fits between the scuttle and mirror - ideally unpainted in grey. I have checked out the exhaust supplier you mentioned who certainly seem competitive.
Robert - Hope to see you at the CXM rally in September.
I shall be at Wetherby between Friday late pm and Sunday midday, although I am not camping but staying in a cheap local B&B - too cold for a tent!! Just to help with identification I will be driving my Mandarin Red 'L' reg. 2.0sei Turbo saloon, probably with roof bars fitted.
All the best,
Matthew T.

Sorry Paul!
The Gold V6 is currently on the road, although shortly to be replaced by the latest acquisition for a ‘rest period’. I am hoping to have the rear wing fixed on my original V6, which was recently stoved in by some local yobs, plus she's a bit thirsty on the longer trips. Hope I will manage to attend the National and/or CXM events in one of the V6’s, which are both twenty this year!!
I know 2.0i Turbo's are a little more common, but my personal view is that the late series one auto models with V6 24v trim are the ultimate XM, apart from looking great, they are much smoother than the V6 12v and almost as powerful and interesting to drive - further debate when we meet at Wetherby no doubt!!
See you soon,
Matthew T.

WHAT!!!

How can 4 cylinders be better and smoother then 6!! Theres something wrong there, your V6's must have a rough box!
Ahhh my Green 12v auto SEi V6 mentioned there, exactly as you described, the added wood from the 24v S1 model, PLUS Cruise! Yes a very nice and wonderfull setup!
The V6 is better on a run then on short journeys! Anyway, Im going to CXM with the 24v S1 defenatly, didn't get chance to MOT her for Wetherby...
Regards
Paul

Perhaps I used the wrong terminology Paul, but the V6's I have at least are quite ‘noisy’ compared to the 2.0i Turbo, which just seems more refined engine wise and in other respects. There is between 2-4 years difference in the ages of the cars, although the mileages are comparable. Don't get me wrong, I love the 3.0, which has the 'rum' factor (as my wife puts it) and character in spades. Neither of my V6's have high mileages and the Gold car has been scrupulously maintained throughout its life, so I think the gearbox is as good as any. I also find the clutch a bit heavy, especially after being spoilt with an auto. There is only 20bhp between the 2.0 and 3.0 and there can't be much otherwise in performance, although they are very different to drive of course. I look forward to seeing your 24v at the CXM and meeting at Wetherby, Matthew T.
