Help !! Rear Window

Hi all .

Does anyone have or know where i can obtain a rear n/s window mechanism !

Mine decided to give up the goat, an now the bloody thing doesn't want to stay shut, iv'e had a quick look on E-bay £265.00 .

The cable has snaped, and i think the motor is not a lot of good anymore ,! to say the least.

Can these cables be replaced, and if so how do you get the motor apart to put the new cables in, ?

Iv'e looked through the self help files, and i'm not sure if this can be done or not !

I'm just comtemplating an offer iv'e had !!!

Iv'e been offered a the full kit with regulator from a Xanta , form the same window, FREE !! but what i need to know is , he thinks that it will fit the same, ( he's not a forum member ) soooo, i'm not sure if it will fit, i guess it's worth a go is it not ? !

Has anyone done a simular thing, and are they simular ???

It also needs a replacement nylon clip which Roy should be able to sort you out with.

Iv'e got a Xantia one , but as i posted before , i'm not sure if it fits, i have been told it will, but i'm still interested, if you still have it !!

I don't think Xantia ones are the same, I stand to be corrected.

I have never heard of Xantia electric window winders breaking. None broke on our Xantia in 200k miles.

Hi Robert .

No i'm not sure, ! but this was out of one that had a nasty encounter with another car o/s on, so he's coming over with it friday , so il'l have a look , and keep everyone posted if it fits !
