Stuck in Park ebay 2.1 TD estate (in garage...)

Seems a wobble about with the linkage under the bonnet would get it out of park or an attack with a jack at the front end!
I've contacted him to point him in the direction of this forum for advice and possible help too!

Geees, thats one dusty garage!
So long as its not built up many faults while its been standing, it could make a good car again.

I've seen an auto with a snapped gear cable - moved the car a short way by sitting in the engine bay
and manually selecting the auto linkage!
A chunky trolley jack on the flat ground would work too! I manoeuvred a stricken Xantia auto with
a seized diff onto a trailer with a bit of faffing about by my trusty jack.
Don't forget mind the leaky brake valve that saw it parked in the garage still needs fixing!

Actually, I'm sure with x2 long pieces of string; one out of each front window operating the
gearbox lever from different directions the car could be driven normally...

Maybe plentiful supplies of butter or Vaseline would see it slide effortlessly out of the garage?

Rubbish to the strings!!
Make sure the hand - well parking brake works VERY Well, by applying then press the foot brake with engine running to apply it couple of more clicks, then go under the bonnet, select D with a number of clicks and away you go!!
I had this on my first white V6, but managed to squeeze under the LHM tank and find the gearbox selector and got her in D to get home...

Mind Paul, "D" would rearrange the back of his garage!! "R" would work though...
