Well this was a surprise, this link was just posted on the FCF, so i thought id share it here.
I can't believe its our old Xm they have used as an example
Still, they give the Xm in general a reasonable report, though they do miss out some important facts about Xms.
Anyway, i hope this car goes to a good home, it really is a nice car, it being an SX should not go against it, it has enough spec.

All publicity is good publicity.
However there is a fair bit of bull sh.t there as well.
even though it's the undesirable non-turbo petrol
Emm thats a good thing! It will be economical!
knackered ABS (particularly rusted ABS pumps
Really? I thought it was ABS sensors.
worn discs and pads
Ohh right, because this isn't a problem on any other cars?
failed strut top bearings

Yes, it is obviously written by someone who has not owned an Xm.
Though they are right in some ways, auto boxes and strut tops, even if it does say bearings.

Ive got to say, i kind of agree with the comment

The estates are something else.
Did anyone see fifthgear from a few weeks back?
They were testing the new Skoda Superb Estate with some old estates which were best in class for one thing in their day. The early 90s Merc E-class for refinement, the Volvo V50R for performance and the new E class for space. I had thought any moment now an Xm estate is going to appear, shame it didnt as it would have come close to wiping the floor with the rest of those im sure. Especially in V6 guise.

Well... it appears I have just acquired the shed of the week! See my post in the introductions thread - I have to say I'm pretty pixxed off about this as the car is very far from a shed. As for the price - well I was happy to do a swap for my Renault 5 Monaco which may well have had a greater monetary value but I know it was a fast track to my first speeding ticket after 38 years driving!
No car with 14 years under its belt and a cash price under a thousand pounds is going to be free of issues, but I am glad to take my chance with this one.
