I've just put one on mine for camping trips, well worth it for the extra space.
You only need to get XM-specific roof bars. Any roof box will then fit onto the roof bars.
Buy a roof box locally, as shipping costs are expensive due to the size (they don't weigh much)
I'm leaving my box fixed to the bars, and just remove the whole lot (four allen-headed bolts) from the car when I don't need it.
