P!ssing out water from the back of the engine...

Selling off one (or bits :o) of your XM collection, or perhaps searching for those elusive headlight washer covers? This is the place to do it.

Diesels DO NOT have turbo cooling beleve it or not! Only petrols!

DERV's are too efficient so the turbos do not get half as hot as petrol ones..

My guess, though Im not a 2.1 expert, and if its anything like the 1.9 would be the thermostat house on the back, or if theres a plastic manifold junction... something nice and easy.. Im not sure a head gasket would "Piss the water out" as heat would if anything CLOSE the leak, not open it..??? Would it not ??

From the look of the advert the Ebay seller does not seem to want viewers, just shot of the car.
Pity because just up the road from me.
No sign of any discolouration or overflowing around the header tank.
Thought that was pretty general happening with HG problems.
Could this just be a core plug failed?

The auction's been ended early and the bid cancelled - he's had an offer he can't refuse - anyone here?
Perhaps somebody read the bit about working LCDs and headlamp washers then weighing the rest in? :o

Will, I shouldn't get to up-set about it as was a 7 day listing (Which was only placed yesterday) and there was actually one bid on it @ £49 !

I guess someone has actually been to see it and has made the seller an offer there happy with and then have pulled/ended the listing (I bet it went for nearer £150 i.e. scrap value) !

So was it anyone off the Forum ?

Maybe the seller read our thread and decided it wasn't the H/G after all and fitted a new hose.

I did wonder if BasingBob bought it to go with his green 2.1 auto estate.
