Gold G-reg V6 - Sei - Now back again - lower price!

Selling off one (or bits :o) of your XM collection, or perhaps searching for those elusive headlight washer covers? This is the place to do it.

the armrest works perfectly.
:D

Excellent! I look forward to fitting it in the new VSX. Maintaining my 100% electronic armrest record. I'm so used to them now, It feels so odd driving a XM without one.

Stupid things, Citroen took their eye off the ball (again) here - just how are you supposed to change gear. ;)
Electric armrests cannot be the sole justification for putting up with an autobox surely..?

And Heaven forbid comfortably reaching the centre console's rear window switches, seat heaters
or even the immobiliser keypad.

It's a CAR not a living room silly!!!!!

Emm, I never have passengers, have no seat heaters, and I take the immobiliser keypads out...

The first thing I always do when getting into any car before fitting the seatbelt is crack open the
rear windows and open the sunroof! A silly electric armrest just compounds my irritation of it the
more I have to try and get past it to reach more important things. I don't mind the immobiliser so
long as the damned thing doesn't decide it's forgotten what car it's in and suppoosed to be protecting.

To get the airflow 'right' throughout the car I do really need to open both the rear windows
to stop booming and buffeting inside the interior with the sunroof open - I can't sit in a car with a
solid roof and like the sunroof at the very least tilted if not fully open all the time barr thunderstorms
(it'll still be tilted unless the rain's angle of attack is wrong). I guess I must be slightly claustraphobic
inside cars plus I like fresh air and hate them feeling stuffy. In an Xm then the ideal is a sunroof fully
open, rear windows down a 1/3 and heater spreading warmth into the footwells any time of the year!
This is why I cannot contemplate car's without sunroofs.

Contrary to popular belief, Cx's do have a decent heater.

Back to the car that's the reason for this thread; why isn't it coming up an any reg/insurance search?
It's got to be a gold auto yet the description does throw any consistency out of the window. It's not
that I'm interested in buying the car, just curious to know about what the car actually IS.

The only bit I can see that's wrong is the manual gearbox.

Are we talking about the same advert?

The Gold Auto certainly shows up on DVLA.

Campbell, you're just not thinking straight.....One could be Her new car...
her words! "I don't want to drive a car the size of a planet", followed by "I will only drive a convertible and they don't make one ..."
How wrong can she be....

Slightly shorter and no roof...

In my opinion it looks a lot better than the chopped CX seen at CXM or indeed the chopped DS at the national rally.

Thats a really good conversion. Do you know anythign more about that car Will? I remember seeing a part built XM convertible the first time I went to Citromobile a few years ago.

That XM is much nicer than the chopped up CX. But if they had left the back seat in the CX, and made it a convertible it would have been more pleasing to me. But the guy who did it wanted a CX pickup of sorts!

I don't know anything about it Robert, I just came across the photo. I think the raised boot-line makes it much more harmonious and appealing than the flat window to boot line that a CX chop-top creates.
