I'll have to break my green'un!

Selling off one (or bits :o) of your XM collection, or perhaps searching for those elusive headlight washer covers? This is the place to do it.

Yep, there is a towbar. Yours if you want it.

Mind you, I don't know how to sort out prices for things :?

I'm afraid I've used the rears. The two fronts are there, plus a set of door cards.

Shame.

Knew I was tempting fate saying that.

Which door is spoken for with you Andrew?

Shame to see the car broken, I never like seeing another scrapped. At the end of the day,
the loss of this car sounds like it's straightening another 10 out though.

Yep, but there's only one plip (I'm fairly sure it works, but will check). Are you near, because I'm not keen on taking them all off myself.

I agree, totally and, believe me, if I had somewhere indoors I would repair the head gasket over the winter. But as someone pointed out, to repair it and sell it wouldn't make economic sense. It doesn't cheer me, but nice to see so many bits potentially used.

Thanks, I'll confirm the door I need asap, seeing the car tomorrow evening so everyone, (Campbell included),
can know what we're all after here! Removal of the door locks is straightforward and doesn't need the
door inards opening up - there's a rubber bung/plug just above the door catch that hides a grubscrew undone
with an allen key and the lock "block" comes off leaving the release handle in situ.

Not sure where the transponder on the s2 is mind - if it's like the mk2 Xant it could be buried under the dash.
Ingition barrel is abarrel of alughs to remove too! (Groan, OK, I couldn't resist!).

Its under the glove box. Rectangular black box with a large multiplug going into it.

Andrew (Andmcit)

I can pop down to Mere to collect the bits you want - After some rather iffy grinding noises from inside my driver's door on the green car, something's loose on the window assembly - so this is an easy way to fix it, and it's the right age too as I assume it is an S2.

Andrew (Ash)

I'm going to pass on the leather then - no point until I get exactly what I want and it all matches.

However, the other bits, I'd like ...

OK Campbell, sounds like a good plan. All 2.5's were s2's BTW.
Mind, I don't need the foglights/indicators off the front bumper as they survived mine intact!!
Really just need the shell and foam support innards.
