Cheap 2.0i on e-bay

Selling off one (or bits :o) of your XM collection, or perhaps searching for those elusive headlight washer covers? This is the place to do it.

Could be a fixer upper, definately a good spares car for panels.

S1's are getting a rare sight now and this one looks a bit scruffy around the edges
probably not helped by the colour although it does have a lot of impact and cleaned
up could be very smart.

Nobody wants them though - not one 2.0i I have offered for sale has generated even
an inking of interest and with scrap at £120 a tonne I fear this is the fate that faces
them even where they're straight damage free with full leather and AC etc.

Im not really sure why either andrew, if your mileage isnt massivly high i cant see mid to high 30's mpg being an issue, they are the easiest to work on and cheapest to maintain and find spares for too, they have a lot going for them, ok they dont have the torque of the 2.1 but they would still kill a 2.1 in a sprint.
I like my 2.0i very much and im used to much faster vehicles.
It probably doesnt help that everyone says to steer clear or them because of "poor performance", shame really.

Best Xm for grabbing by the scruff of it's neck and giving a real thrashing
about my local lanes has been a non cat 2.0i manual. Very enjoyable!!
It's so light and sharp without the hindrance of a bloody big engine at the
pointy end and all the additional crap/baggage the higher spec models
'need'.

The 2.0 8V with no cat or turbo gets my vote as well. You can't go far wrong with them. I love mine, and enjoy hammering it. Its a bit like the Athena, smallest engine, but handles very well as a result of it. The 2.0 16Vs are very nice as well.
