A sherpa would be handy. I think it will be the only safe and legal way to transport cars now. Transporting a Xm sized car on a trailer towed by a Xm isn't really legal. I don't know if a Range Rover would have you legal or not in terms of weights.

It's very usefull indeed...not too much of a steep beaver so you can get "dead" CXs up onto there with little fuss - we've perfected the art of getting them on there. It can easily take CX Prestige's too. It's ever so handy to have - brilliant winch on it too.
The only trouble with single car transporters in the weight. Luckily, ours is fairly lightweight (wood back, and no unnecessary metal covers etc) so we can take a fair old amount (limit is 3.5T all in including driver, fuel, straps etc etc).
Engine wise, it's got a 2.5 Turbo Diesel which IIRC is a Peugeot engine. Goes well too...shame that it rattles and shakes a bit but after it's full new exhaust system it's a lot quieter to be in!
