A returnee!

Off topic chat about anything you like. Doesn't have to be about XMs (though they will inevitibly come up!). You can even discuss non-Citroens :o in here!

A returnee!

Post by bitonthesidexm » Fri Dec 31, 2010 6:58 pm

Hello again. I am back in XM ownership. I have bought a 2.0 TCT Onyx off citroenxm. Nothing major needs doing (at least Paul reassures me  ) just a few minor jobs and a bloody good clean! It felt good driving down the A55 yesterday afternoon. Many thanks to Paul for sorting it out for me and thanks to Ciaran for sorting out my access to the forum. I'm sure I will have a few questions in the coming weeks!

Of course! Not too far though. Did get around to fit a radio though - it saves me singing! Something odd behind where the radio fits. I took out the pocket below to help in pushing all of the wires back. There is a brown connection block with 2 wires in (in green I think) with 2 pairs of wires coming out. At one end of one pair of wires is a red flashing LED with a small, black push button at the end of the other pair. Any ideas????????????

Thats the led for the alarm that shows the volumetric sensor test and alarm armed flash, the button is to disable the volumetrics and turn the alarm off should the plip pack up.
they should be mounted in the centre console in between the stereo flap and ash tray on that solid bar you should just be able to see them mounted either side of the gear selector here.

Ah yes - and the reason why they are not in the centre console is because I swapped the whole console for the wood one, before I found the Flaps are interchangeable on their own. My full intenion was to remove the stupid crap hopless shite alarm completely. Its litterally an "Added" harness via plugs, and completely removeable, the centre console needs to come out though to do it...
