You don't need to remove the centre console, just the carpet side panelling. I have removed a couple of these now, both alarm control boxes have been pushed under the heater box. All the plugs where it joins into the harness are in the passengers side footwell, you'd be best removing the cover with the acess to the fuse panel and the plastic panel on the door shut at the front corner.
This is what you should end up with.

Chris, you will ALSO find the Keypad immobiliser above the passenger dash covering, above passenger feet. Its not needed as the ECU is de coded... just so you dont get alarmed (LOL, no pun intended) if you went looking..

One look at the photo that Robert put up and I think I will leave well alone and pretend I never saw it! Actually the alarm sounded early evening. I have just locked the car on the key - the next door neighbour will not be a happy bunny if it goes of in the night!

well remember its there then because if the plipper packs up to disarm the alarm that would have been set off by opening the door you will have to turn on the ignition and press the little black button straight away to silence it.

they should be mounted in the centre console in between the stereo flap and ash tray on that solid bar you should just be able to see them mounted either side of the gear selector here.

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but what are the (2) monitors in the photo?

Hi Jan
The one in the glove box is the DVD player and the one on the drivers side is the sat nav.
