XM heating fan control unit

Selling off one (or bits :o) of your XM collection, or perhaps searching for those elusive headlight washer covers? This is the place to do it.

XM heating fan control unit

Post by martinpenk » Mon Jan 24, 2011 5:46 pm

Has anyone got a fan control module for a 2.5td VSX estate with no air con. This is for the heater fan. Mine has just packed up. I understand a Xantia with Air con has the same module but could be reveresed polarity. Can anyone asssit. Happy to take the whole fan unit and control assembly though I do have a spare fan though I dont think the fan moter itself is the problem.

Thanks

Martin

Have you tried replacing the brushes or the transistors?
These are the usual culprits.

What do you mean bythe transistors? Are these part of the control module? The fan motor itself seems OK.

Cheers

Heres a picture of the transistors.
When mine when the motor would only work on full speed or nothing at all.
