Battlescar - now scrapping 2.1 TD Mk 2 Auto

Selling off one (or bits :o) of your XM collection, or perhaps searching for those elusive headlight washer covers? This is the place to do it.

What are the body panels on this one like? Did I read somewhere that it is silver? The front drivers side wing may be of interest.

Paul, no problem, hopefully this month

Regarding the Alloys, Diesel Man was interested too..... I don't know the balance history as I've never driven it with these on and Charlie has never had them fitted with tyres/balanced. They are available for scrap value which is £10 each. Hopefully that way if they are no good they can be recycled without a loss.

Robert, you can have the wing gratis. There was some surface rust on the inside but it's been treated and coated with underbody sealant. I can't remember condition of the top of my head but I'll check tomorrow.

Campbell, I checked the front seats today, there is definitely a brown two pin connector there, so they are indeed heated.

Having recently heard how much the Fire Service get for attending a road crash, I can now see why they take every opportunity to cut the car up.
If you're going to charge £20k per appliance for a job, you at least make it look like it was worth attending..

They bolsters were 'already included' if you see what I mean. I've also assumed you want the door cards. Regarding the wiring looms for the leccy seats, do they unplug anywhere decent or can i cut the wires at the bulkhead say? Any suggestions?

Working from the CAT back, the CAT flange is buggered, so no good. The 2nd box is old but ok, the 3rd is new and the back box is also used but good. Normally the 2nd and 3rd are joined, but, when the 3rd broke, I bought a replacement 3rd box and essentially cut and shut the new 3rd to the exisitng 2nd. This would have worked well normally, but due to the CAT flange being so corroeded, it didn't hold up very well physically and always sagged onto the cross member. I don't think the fit was the best on the new box but it did all come together in the end.

I don't mind the look of the Montecarlo wheels, they look sort of minilite-ish, but just a b&gger to balance, just like the Xantia ones :x No bother............

You will find the front seat wiring looms have main feed plugs under the radio.
If the rear seats were heated there will be stub looms with a heater control box clipped to the chassis by the middle of the rear side bolsters.
They are like gold dust as only selected Mk2 exclusives got those.
I will take the rear seat heater looms if they are going spare.

Hi John,
This was a donor set of seats, which have the heating option, by my chassis never did (at least, as far as I know). I'll find out when I dismantle the car. No controls though as fas as I can see.

Campbell, I need to set a date with you one way or another (whether it's delivery/collection etc). As you are having the large items, I need to time it such that they are out of the car for a minimal amount of time before you have them. I don't have space to store (except in their orginal place within the car itself!) and I have a very sensitive situation with regards to a neighbour so I need to minimise the impact so to speak.

Just so you know Paul, I was considering keeping the rear arms and hydractive elements of the rear end as spares for my fathers. I'm guessing that clashes with the parts you were after? Are there any duplicates between XM mk2 and Xantia mk2?
