I am not sure what sort of injection it has, as far as economy is concerned I'd say it's pretty good, I got 600 miles from a tank when I drove to Hungary.
It doesn't have aircon as such, but you set the temperature and it blows according to that.
It's a manual.
I need the car to be gone by the end of next week, it's parked on my friends' lawn and they are moving.
I just don't want to scrap the car that got my wife and I together and took us on our honeymoon. Break her if you will, but please pay me some money for her.

I drove mine for 50,000 miles and put all the fuel in. My 2.1 auto was slower, but the manuals I have now would be about the same in real world driving.Dean wrote:No dream Will mine will do 40mpg on a run and thats Auto with a moggy, and faster than a 2.1, the magnetti ones were slower and thirstier and the carbed ones much more so again.

Re: 1992 Série 1 2.0si, repair or spares
Sorry but with no auto box or A/C its not really worth it for spares and i just canrt have another car, ive got one too many as it is.
Im going to put a link to this ad on FCF as there is far more traffic there and more chance of finding someon who wants to buy an xm.
Good luck with the sale!
mine will do 22mpg with the auto, doing little 1-4 mile journeys in 30-40mph limits stop start conditions, its strange you only got 20 out of a manual one on the mainland unless it was monopoint or carb?

Im with you Will.. I had a 2.oi on a G plate, it was awfull.. so it wasn't just me then..Dieselman wrote:In your dreams. My 2.0Si manual was in the low 20's fuel consumption and slow to boot..Dean wrote: The real shame is if its a manual 2.0i with Bosch injection its going to be damn rare, forget your 2.1's, they are ford focus's in comparison, and it would be good for 47mpg,

As for 2.1 TD, manual, the kick from 2300 to 3k revs is brill!! Im looking forward to getting mine back on the road... one side all welded up, next to do the other side..

I thought I replied but I can't find my post:
600 miles from one tank of fuel, I think that was around 7 litres/100km.
The car does not have air conditioning, you just set the temperature and it blows automatically.
Electric windows all round, electric sunroof, electric seats, the glovebox stays open I think
The "plip" does not work and you have to shut the boot quite hard.
Interior in good condition
