Selling off one (or bits

) of your XM collection, or perhaps searching for those elusive headlight washer covers? This is the place to do it.

If they have an existing one they could get it repaired at
http://www.ecutesting.com
If it has no spark it will probably be the output transistor has failed.

I've got one!
The half car that I bought had an ECU in it!
I've got the matching keypad too!
Apparently it's been zero coded as well.

ECU's set to no code have a nasty habit of reverting on cars while fault finding.
So if you know the original code that it was set to then mark it on the ECU case.
I managed to inadvertantly reset one on a 2.5 yesterday.
Did not come with original code and none of the usual suspects worked.
In the end I had to fit a spare ECU with known code.

I think Paul is after a series two 24v ecu, which presumably is different to that on your series one half-car David? With regards, Matthew T.

Just noticed that Matthew!
I assumed that the only 24v Paul would be fiddling with would be a Series 1!
Chances of finding one I'd image are fairly slim unless you can get one on ebay.de, ebay.fr or similar.
I echo the above... If he's got the original ECU get it to the ECU doctor.
David.

I wonder if the ECU fitted to the Xantia V6 is the same (or sufficiently the same) to enable a test swap.
Paul, you have an S1 Xantia V6 so there might be a thought.
Sadly, not having any full XM S2 V6 wiring diagrams I cannot confirm if they are the same. Be surprised if they were hugely different though...
Note though that a swap can only be done between keypad cars. If the XM ECU is Transponder/RFID immobilised (as per the S2 Xantia) then they cannot be swapped under any circumstances.
Only keypad immobilised ECUs can be swapped between vehicles.

All XM's were keypad immobilised.
None got RFID chips and ignition switch coils.
I would be careful about damage from swapping ECU's between models.
If the 2.5 ECU was anything to go by Citroen kept changing the embedded code.
Spare ECU's are hard to obtain.
