Have this item 220812841687 on my watch list and asked about the bust pipe etc, no reply and now the listing has been updated saying there is rot somewhere and it's now getting chopped!

Bodywork looks straight, engine looks clean and bonus added-in leather seats - how bad could the 'chassis rails' rust be? Surely if it's just the subframe that's away then it's not terminal!

I think they must mean the actual box sections on the monocoque, some xm's seem to suffer issues with the underseal and rust from the inside out, huge sections can rust away undetected beneath the stonechip coating.

I went to see this car with a friend over a year ago.

It is rotten, sills, where the rear subframe attaches to the body, and the front wheel arch as well.

Also it was a bit down on power as well.

Good spares car. Not worth repairing.

fair 'o nuff. Almost glad to hear it as it looks really rather pretty... well, I can now sleep at night once more!
