Cup holders!

Post by endorfin » Tue Sep 20, 2011 7:18 pm

Don't get too excited.

Got fed up of spilt drinks and hot tea between my legs. Small amount of modification and its fitted to the door air vent, going to do the same for passenger side.

I had something like that for my BXes in the 1980s. Only difference is you could fold them up :D
There must be hundreds of different holders for sale here.

Something like this:

Mm....I like yours better. Looks more stylish, where can I get those from?

I only got mine cos they were in the bargain bin for 50p each at Halfrauds.

Totally unrelated but just bought 24 disposable bbq's from Wilkinsons priced at 20p each, ex summer stock. At checkout was charged 24p for the lot, 1p each. I felt embarrassed paying for them on my card, was expecting it to be £2.40 but didn't have any cash on me!

I always carry a disposable bbq in my estate, along with gas stove & kettle. Nice to pull over for a cuppa sometimes, with an impromptu barbeque if its not raining.

I think that is the only advantage of a Mk 1, the top of the dashboard is flat :D

Is this it? http://starclub.yahoo.co.jp/

Even with a page translation I'm having trouble finding my way around, do you have a direct link to the item?

1000 yen = about 8 quid, hm I can take the hit :)

Hi!
Try this link:
http://store.shopping.yahoo.co.jp/cast0 ... 26523.html

But you'll probably have trouble communicating and the seller won't export either.
I can help you though. I could order one or more for you and send them. Let me know what you wish to do.

I may well take you up on that. Have you got one of these yourself? Just wondering if it will actually be long enough to fit on the XM's doors as they are thicker than usual.

I may as well have 2 so the missus doesn't keep asking me to put her drink on my side! If you could see what it would cost to buy 2 plus shipping to the UK & I'll send the money to you, BACS or Paypal.

Thanks again
Nigel

Nigel,
To tell the truth I haven't got one - yet. I ordered one a couple of days ago and the vendor is now processing the order. I had a different one which I am now replacing :D
If you could wait a couple of days I'll post a photo of how it looks on the XM and then you can decide what you wish to do.
