WANTED: Ignition barrel/lock and window

Some low-life smashed my driver's window and damaged the steering lock/ignition barrel beyond repair last night. Anyone know where I can get replacements, the latter with key(s) ? Also a lid for the keypad. They pulled out a load of wiring too, but (obviously) couldn't get hot-wired. It's a Mk. 2 V6 Exclusive, and given their relative low resale-value, seems like a strange car to try and steal.

I can supply the window glass.
Need to know a little more about the ignition lock type.
Is it is an original XM lock marked Simplex?
If so I can retumbler another lock barrel to match your key.
How much damage is done to the ignition switch and its wiring?
Keypad covers were quite cheap from Citroen last time I got one.
I can also find a spare ignition switch with key as a temporary fix.

I'll check the barrel and get back to you (John) via a PM. The wiring has been pulled out and away from the switch but all seems to be there. Presumably you'd need my key to re-tumbler the barrel, in which I'd need your address via a PM too. However I'm in Powys, mid-Wales, just over the Herefordshire border if that helps.

And Robert, I'd be wary of 'posting' the glass, but if you're nearer than John perhaps I could collect?

Sorry to hear of your problems, have you seen these items on E-Bay which may be of help to you ?

Two Ignition barrel locks firstly a USED one (Albeit the seller states 1993 model, the photo depicts a MK2 type flip/key fob) but there's reasonably priced NEW one.

However if you prefer a full new lock-set THIS is available for £145 with an option of making them an offer, but check your RP number for compatibility as it states only suitable for up RP number 6078 which equates to date of manufacture of 30th June 1993 so may not be suitable for your era/year of XM !

If you can claim on your insurance, dependant whether its worth pursuing (i.e if you have to pay say the first £200 excess for damage and then if you not got your no-claims protected) I guess you've got to take the financial hit caused by these scum-bags either way ?

From a quick look at the ebay ads identified by XMX all the ignition switches appear to be for early Mk1's only.
The Plip in the Pilsdon auto adv is definitely a Mk1 IR type not a Mk2 RF one.
The later ignition switches have 3 equal long length pairs of wires with Black, Brown and Grey plugs.
The early switches have 2 long length pairs of wires with Black and Grey plugs plus a short pair of wires with another Black plug.

I've got a complete lock set - doors, boot, ignition - that I swapped out of my 1993 XM. The drivers lock spins but IIRC thepassenger one is OK, and the ignition switch was working.
