I completely forgot about the MOT on my Mandarin car, so booked it in for this morning, ran it up the other night and found a front return pipe had split, so dealt with that.
I didn't even have time for cleaning up the spilt LHM so had some trepidation...but today it went through with a clean pass...
Happy Days...!!

Well done! I have repaired those pipes just by putting the car on high suspension - I was in the north of Scotland at the time.

Well done Will ,
I bet you didn't expect any surprises, being that you keep on top of maintenance etc. meticulously with the Mandarin one !
Maybe do the pipe mod for your leak off pipes ?

There is also some nice clear plastic pipe that is part of the return to the tank, and is handy for joining the new pipe into the lhm collector at the back of the strut.
I too tend go the route of a repair in stu, (Rather than disturbing the rubber saddle which is clamped to the strut/leg !
The leak off/vent pipes is a regular topic of discussion on the BXC forum, which again has been discussed this week,
Brian (Off the BXC) has done a neat modification job as shown below, note the BX has two pipes (opposed to XM/Xantias) which only have one !
Also if you did remove the saddle and are struggling to reuse the S/S securing strap or cannot get a new O/E (Kevan off the BXC) found an alternative solution by using a slightly easier type of securing strap from
THIS supplier !
