Recent acquisitions!!
I have recently acquired a couple of other cars, although unfortunately only at 1:18 scale this time!! The Peugeot 605 makes for interesting comparison with the XM, as does the Bertone designed Lamborghini Countach, which has to be my all time dream car if cost and convenience were not an issue! I was slightly disappointed that the Solido 605 model bonnet does not open like the XM to reveal something of the V6 24v engine, whereas the detail on the Bburago Countach is amazing, including opening scissor doors and bonnet. Hope you enjoy the photos. With regards, Matthew T.

Excellent Matthew!
The poor old 605 does look very conservative next to her bold sister.

Re: Recent acquisitions!!
I do agree Robert and the 605 is rather more understated and something of an acquired taste perhaps! With regards, Matthew T.

Re: Recent acquisitions!!
Ive never seen the 605 model before, that must be quite rare. Though you might want to adjust that front camber Matthew, its going to rub that front tyre off in no time
Ive a large number of Citroen models, the Xm 1:18 is included.

Re: Recent acquisitions!!
I acquired the 605 SV24 via French ebay Chris and I think the model is slightly rarer than the XM V6, although luckily not quite so expensive! The 605 front wheels move with the steering wheel like the Countach, which is quite natty!! With regards, Matthew T.

Re: Recent acquisitions!!
I'll have to try French ebay for models
Im trying to find a 1:18 Xantia but they are like hens teeth.
Among other things Ive got an excellent 1:43 XM, its a recent one by Norev and really is very detailed. Its in green with the crazy looking EU wheeltrims.

Re: Recent acquisitions!!
I think you are right about the Xantia models Chris and I have a couple of Norev 1:43 XM models including the one you mention, although mine is in dark grey! The most detailed is the V6 12v in late sei trim (see below) that can be picked up for around £30 on Amazon and elsewhere. With regards, Matthew T. PS. talking of model Citroens, I also stumbled across this http://youtu.be/N9xJ7eFE9-I

Re: Recent acquisitions!!
That is an excellent looking XM model, I might have to get one of those.
Thanks for sharing that link Matthew, there are some interesting models there which I have not seen before. They also had a 1:18 Xantia and a couple of C6s from Norev, I can't find one of those either.
The recent Norev 1:18 models are superb, I have quite a few, the CX and Ami 6 are excellent.
