Is this XM anyones off the the forum by any chance, as they state their emigrating ?E-Bay Seller wrote:No reserve auction for my great Citroen XM VS TD Auto
It has been on my drive (on a SORN) for approximately 2 & half years
The only reason for this is due to the passenger & driver's side window cable having snapped (a common fault I understand)
I purchased a repair kit from e-crofting to do it myself & like many things I intend to do - it didn't get done
Up to this point the car was faultless & returning 35 - 45 per gallon
I am going to be emigrating, so my best ever car must go
These series 2 cars are rare & this model in this condition even rarer
As you can see from the pics the interior & exterior are in great condition, in spite of it standing for so long
It needs a new fan belt (which I have purchased & comes with the car)...it also comes with the cable repair kit & also another piece of kit purchased from specialist e-crofting, that connects to the ECM to improve the already amazing hydraulic suspension
The car has extensive service history going back to 2001
Obviously as it has been standing on my drive for so long, there may be issues that require attention that I am unaware of. I can vouch for it's smooth ride & reliability prior to the SORN & it still looks quite immaculate
I will miss just being able to see it on the drive & wish I had just done the windows instead of just contemplating doing it
There is a small bit of rust visible on the inside of one of the passenger doors, but that is all I have found
A nice easy project for an enthusiast - (I have the immobiliser & radio code)
PLEASE NOTE THAT IT CANNOT BE DRIVEN - For vehicle delivery I can recommend http://www.shiply.com - I had a Nissan 300 delivered by transporter from Redruth in Cornwall to Newport in South Wales for £150
Happy bidding
