I think the message finally sank in at GSF regarding their appallingly user unfriendly website. A brief look at the new site shows it to be much more along the lines of the Eurocarparts and AEP websites.

Re: GSF website relaunch
Thank god. I gave up with GSF eventually. AEP much better, only trouble is you order and pay for something online, only to be told later that it isn't in stock. Grrr!

It is much better, I noticed the change a couple of weeks ago more by accident than design.

I've no confidence in either GSF or ECP, both from personal experience:
1. ECP sent me a USED oxygen sensor. I mean, come on - what kind of store takes back sensors for credit anyhow - it had clearly been installed, complete with greasy fingerprints? They ignored every email I sent on the matter - despite having previously found no trouble responding to enquiries from the same address. These cowards still spam me - as if I'd ever shop with them again.
2. GSF did the double-dip on some foglights. This means, they rated them as zero VAT for overseas sale, yet didn't knock the VAT off what they billed me. They also charged a serious premium for freight. Clever? Not if you want long term customer relationships.
Besides, if it took until last fortnight for GSF to change their website - this means they spent a year either in utter denial of reality or some group in the organisation was bullshitting to their superiors. They are still behind the eight ball for product range and transparency of source, compared to Mister-Auto. I - and many others - often don't just want to buy "A wishbone bush" - we may want genuine, TRW, Lemförder or whatever floats our boat. GSF's parts ID system makes it impossible to discern such detail.
And while I'm on a roll - knowing I'm not the only person here with an Alfa - Ned Kirkham at Autolusso lied to me, then left me short £150 on an item charged for but never supplied. Next visit to the UK I want to introduce his face to the counter.
Proper customer service is not hard; even when things get tough, honesty is a rateable commodity. This was part of the GSF fail; they were not honest about the fiasco online.

ECP are a joke. My local factors stupidly have sourced parts of them before for me, every time their order turns up its wrong.

Re: GSF website relaunch
Hi all, i've never in the past used GSF due solely to their mess of a website, and never ECP either. The improvement in GSF's website is now an option for me and free postage, important consideration in the Highlands. AEP despite being based in Glasgow 150 miles away charge me extra for my PH postcode,so i avoid using them also. MisterAuto, inspite of being based in France - and i suspect the reason they have access to many original parts - charge a fixed £5.95 regardless of number of parts and stock parts for my wifes Colt DI-D to boot, and with Fedex delivery as standard, easily trackable.
