Selling off one (or bits

) of your XM collection, or perhaps searching for those elusive headlight washer covers? This is the place to do it.

Here we go
AGAIN
Maybe third time lucky for the current owner ?
I bet the seller is now thinking that they'd not been so greedy by setting an unrealistic reserve price the first time they advertised it, as it achieved £837.77 with 4 bids but Reserve was not met (The current starting price is £850 with a BIN of £950) !

Wasn't too fussed on the rust. More cambelt. By the time I've paid say £900 plus the belt in the car for more than a grand.

It did have front mudflaps fitted when I last saw it and was showing rust around the front lips. They look very tidy in those photos, so perhaps they have been done. It did have the proper remote lcoking key too, and one normal key.
I hope someone buys it

Chris.

It all comes down to price and desire doesn't it? I acquired the car in a deal that was worth about £650 and sold it nearly a year later for less. That was on Ebay in an auction that ran to the end and so the market value was achieved, although it wasn't what I wanted. The purchaser when I sold it flew someone up from Southampton to Teeside to drive it back adding a fair amount to his costs.
I don't happen to think that the cosmetic "improvements" made to the car increase its desirability, but then I'm not a fan of leather seats.
I too would like to see it bought by someone who will enjoy it; it was my introductions to XMs and two others later I'm still hooked.
Rob

It was also my introduction to XMs, I did 6,000 miles in it the first year I could drive it.

Hello Ragger. The old red estate sailed thgrough its second MOT last month, still clocking up the miles, approaching 170,000 now. Only problem I have had was a new heater matrix, to date, touch wood.

Good to hear from you Jonathan. She's obviously a tough old bird, daspite being cosmetically challenged. Did you replace the windscreen in the end?
