WANTED spare wheel carrier hook

Selling off one (or bits :o) of your XM collection, or perhaps searching for those elusive headlight washer covers? This is the place to do it.

WANTED spare wheel carrier hook

Post by messerschmitt owner » Wed Jul 04, 2012 8:16 am

Yes, I;d like a tidy condition hook for the spare wheel carrier - I fear the one on the estate is too far gone to be able to work loose and I think I may have to cut it off.

Do you have one for sale?

I saw one on ebay a day or so back but am damned if I can find it now!
I know what the listing says, but I think this could work though Campbell:

guess you could have a mosey up to that local yard to see if any Saxo's
Pugs etc have this?? The Picasso's bolt looks too long BTW:

I'd noticed a few things on ebay - at about £17-20 quid and thought that at that price the local stealer would be as cheap. The only major rust on the car is on the bolt, which has a brand new Michelin behind it in the carrier.

I'll go check on likely Pugs and Cits at Buckland's first.

mine has more than seized - the threads are disintegrating with rust.

Bought a Xantia one at the scrappies for £2 today - from a W plate car - it was galvanised and just unscrewed!
