Clutch Cable For Sale, Possibly a 2.1 TD (Used) E-Bay

As title listing spotted for sale on E-BAY with a starting price (£30) which reasonable for for a used one (if you manage to get for that), but the postage whacks it up (+£10) unless your local to do a pick up and the seller will allow it !

By the looks of the sellers E-Bay 'Tag-name' (flybydavetherave) and location, its a bit familiar to one of our forum members (davetherave), if it is I wonder why he didn't post it up on here or respond to the recent WANTED post on here,so as not to get charged for the E-Bay/Paypal charges (But it was for an S2) ?

I suggest best to check your inner cable length (If possible) from the quadrant to the tip/end first !

This is a used Citroen Xm clutch cable.

I believe this was removed some years ago from an early 2.1td, but am not 100% sure.

The length of the cable from tip to the plastic quadrant is about 106cm

Feel free to ask questions or request pictures to confirm compatibility.

Best of luck if you secure it, yet another good reason to go for the 2.5TD's ('The one for winners' Robert ) !

The seller (At the time could have been anyone, with it being an E-Bay listing) but Dave has made a post confirming that indeed its his listing !

I believe this was removed some years ago from an early 2.1td, but am not 100% sure.

Therefore as the /\ was not a conclusive statement (for the actual model/application), when making my forum posting I stated in the title "POSSIBLY a 2.1TD" and is why I also suggested (for anyone interested) to check their cable/length requirements !

Being a Manufacturing Engineer of a renowned global company where 'Form/Fit/Function' is paramount to its products and where design/engineering employees having the mindset of giving out written or verbal communication, such that they are 'Clear/Unambitious and only open to ONE interpretation' !
Failure to adhere with this approach is why mistakes can and have led to accidents or even death where some manufacturing company's are less diligent or pro-active in their employees training and quality working method's/procedures !

So unless I've missed something, ( I apologise in advance) !

May I therefore ask, what is the actual real point your making (Relating to my comment) ?

I would totally agreed with you Campbell and 'Got it too', if any of the smiley's :- , or was used !

However, by using the:- smiley does not make it 'A double entendre' IMHO and is what pi**ed me off and its not the first time on here !

In addition, my understanding is that there are only two clutch cable lengths, one for BE3 gearboxes and one for ME5 gearboxes, so all 2.1TD will use the same cable.
