I briefly had a 2.5 estate that was a bit leaky and cosmetically challenged but I was very impressed with the performance and economy. Trouble is, I can't remember any really good hatches coming up for sale in the last couple of years, but I've no doubt someone will be able to point what I've missed

Well, I've made an offer on this now and hope I secure it. The last time I took a gamble on a car in London I caught a cold with it, but this does look promising.

Had a communication back from the vendor to say that at the car's last service the garage had told him it would need some chassis welding for its next MOT. The decent thing to do given the distance I would have had to travel to view/collect the car. Now sold to someone else.

Consequently, I have spent the afternoon cleaning and polishing the Saab and reminding myself what a damn fine car it is.

those saabs are nice and evn if you do chop it in for an xm you want it to be the right car, nice of the seller to be up front and honest too.
