Peter, I'm going to have to agree to disagree with you (If you have not owned and driven one for many many years) you wouldn't had the experience and the real pleasure of what the 2.5TD has to offer in comparison to the 2.1TD version !Peter.N. wrote:I must admit that looks an exceptionally nice car - pity its a hatch and a 2.5When it gets to about a third of that price I expect John will have it

Robert, I totally agree with you and now that your a convert to the 2.5TD's you know how saying go's "The one for winners" and I'm sure this reasonable priced superb example will not be For Sale, for very long !robert_e_smart wrote:That is a lovely car! With a lovely engine!
Surely the beast that is the S1 24V is "The one for winners"?XMX wrote:Robert, I totally agree with you and now that your a convert to the 2.5TD's you know how saying go's "The one for winners" and I'm sure this reasonable priced superb example will not be For Sale, for very long!
Don't get me wrong, I have driven a 2.5 and I think they are a lovely car but not fit fo my purpose, the manual 2.1 has adequate performance for my needs and is also simpler and cheaper to maintain if you I doing a lot of miles, which I was with 2.1,s.XMX wrote:Peter, I'm going to have to agree to disagree with you (If you have not owned and driven one for many many years) you wouldn't had the experience and the real pleasure of what the 2.5TD has to offer in comparison to the 2.1TD version !Peter.N. wrote:I must admit that looks an exceptionally nice car - pity its a hatch and a 2.5When it gets to about a third of that price I expect John will have it

Totally agree. The overall condition is of prime importanceI don't mind the colour or wheels at all. I'd have any colour Xm as long as it was in superb condition.
