save some of my old s1's!?
ah andrew this one is Not at the farm so is not actually taking up vacant spaces...when the xantia v6 goes end of august then we have space for two as long as i hold strong and ignore any good xantia purchases...

It's seems I am looking for hens teeth, so I will widen my search.
The car must be a series 1, with a manual box and either a V6 or a Diesel.
Ideally I'd like leather, and it must have a spoiler on the back, in either white/green/black, not red.
Are you selling one?

The ultimate question though - what's your budget?
Also what kind of condition - all up and together on the road or one needing TLC etc?
Edit - Paul, you beat me to it!

V6 or Diesel! Jings, you might as well consider the TCT if you would accept a diesel!
I personally think you are being too precise in what you want. I believe that the best thing to do is buy on condition, and if you are lucky, you might get the engine, colour or trim you want.
My keeper series 1 car is white, not my favourite colour, but I can live with it for the rest of the cars condition and rarity.
However, this fits the bill:

Its for sale.
Series 1
It has black leather
A spoiler
V6 engine
Manual Gearbox
Green colour...

Hang on a minute, there's a simple solution - buy David's car!
http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C308051
Series 1 - Check.
Manual Box - Check.
V6 - Check.
Leather - Check.
Spoiler - Check.
Green - Check.
It's the perfect car you want AND it's a PRV 24v too!
Edit - looks like Robert's of the same opinion!

I'd like it to have MOT if possible.
Budget? Yes. Its sort of flexible up to a grand or so.
My reasoning behind the V6 or Diesel is this:
I can live with the economy of the V6 because its just that, a V6. The TCT is too juicy for what it is, and the 16v does nothing for me. A diesel fits with the type of car the XM is in my opinion, and if I can't get the V6 I'd rather have something a bit more frugal to run daily.

You are going to struggle to get a car with the spec you want, and the condition, that I would imagine you want for that kind of money.
