A wise decision Chris :D That nicely brings you down to two very choice Xantias and room to have another XM in the future. Perfect!

I think they are the ones to keep and no doubt once I have sold my C5 my XM search will begin 8-)

I couldn't believe you sold your V6 Chris. But by the sounds of it, your Xantias sound great. I have always liked the Xantia. Never owned one however. It was going to be my back up choice if I couldn't find an XM.

Best of luck finding an XM. Which series and engine are you ideally after?

I really did like the V6 Xantia Russ, however, I had know about this HDi Exclusive for two years and once I got an idea that it might be coming up for sale I just had to get it. Not enough room here for 11 cars so one had to move out unfortunately. However, I do really like the HDi Xantia, its a superb car and this one is in fantastic condition with low miles and has been well pampered. It is the perfect spec in my opinion, electric and heated everything with leather, cd changer etc, handy estate body and a HDi engine, the ideal daily. Its nice to have a Xantia which does good fuel economy :geek:  However my Activa is staying, I did have the most out of character thought and decided to put that up for sale, but I have came to my senses now, its staying! :D

My Xm search will have to wait until my C5 is gone, so Im trying not to look at XMs for sale as I don't want to end up with another car just yet

As for series and spec, I'm very undecided. I have always liked S2s but after having the Prestige I have got the taste for S1s now. So perhaps high on my list would be an S1 in either base or mid spec (I like the early cloth seats) with a 2.1TD engine or most likely a 2.0 TCT. Ideally a manual but I've driven a few of each and I dont mind either way.

In S2 I'd like to try a 2.5TD if I could find a very tidy one. They are few and far between so probably a TCT but I could be persuaded by a late 24v V6 auto. So, thats just about all of the range im interested in then  So who knows

I guess it really depends on what I like at the time :D
Chris.

Having driven an S2 24V V6 Chris I love 'em to bits and if you can find a good 'un you'd love it too :D All the nice things of the V6 Xantia with added XM-ness :D

I like my S1.5 though but that's me. I prefer all my Citroens in S1 spec. and to be honest I still prefer the S1 V6 over the S2...

Perhaps RObert, though it would need to be a nice one.

Yes, a 24v V6 would be great Jim, I can imagine that does make quite a car 8-)

Your right Jim, the S1s really have something about them and the 1.5 is perhaps the best. I have no strong bias towards S1 or S2 in XM or Xantia but if I had to make the decision, it would be S1 for both. However the S2s of both cars do bring their benefits and drawbacks (S2 XM windows and LCD displays for example). 6 and two 3s really

I would give, my Xantia away. Robert knows what a great car we're talking about...! Uhh, well not at the moment....not even nice but she's served well. And easy to work on as well. Easier than XM's.
But seriously. Xm's are far nicer to however I have enjoyed our Xantia on the bad roads of Ireland, a lot. Not all great and trouble free, but still. I'll offer her parts for spare at some time sooner or later but just not yet. They're are hard to find with low mileage and top specs so go fot it I would say!
