Picture one is where you see all the Twelve Bens in Connemara, co.Galway. The car is parked just underneath Ben Lettery (580metres high) I was close to Roundstone and we used to live in this area.

How do you cope with that sort of traffic Jaap. Must drive you mad!!

Stunning countryside....but one draw back. Seems very easy to misplace your car....

Oh gosh yes, the only thing that makes living here at all tolerable is my wonderful neighbours :D

Apart from that it's rubbish...

Although being near the DSM and CXM Rally site is handy :D

And handy for work too - only ten minutes away. I was born and brought up near the sea. To make me live most of my life as far away as you can get from it is tantamount to cruelty

OFF TOPIC WARNING: No Citroens were used in the filming of the following shots...

TBH, this side of Northumberland (and what I've seen of Cumberland, Scotland & Eire too!)
I can't think of many places I'd rather live than where I currently am here! I just don't want
everyone to really know how stunning it is here as sadly it tends to get knee deep in people
with all their trash, caravans and shitty attitudes etc every summer.

I love it when there's the massive expanse of empty beach with the tide fully out and I'm
leaving the only footprints - I can't 'do' crowds of moronic people either Jim!!

In the spirit of brightening up the place and to remind myself of brighter warmer days passed,
some random shots off my phone of my favourite local haunt although there's 100's to choose from:

Harvey and Three Cliffs:

my favourite picture capture:

and there's more:
Image

snow on the beach!?
Image

view from the river that runs back to the castle ruins atop the hill!

Some funky temporary art and one for the engineers:

I may add, I wouldn't have had the patience to make these!
I was very very impressed by the artistry with tiny pebbles acting
as feet between the levels in the single tower - must've taken ages!!

All I'm saying is these are taken in South Wales somewhere!

Wow...very nice Andrew. I can see the appeal, but there seems to be a fury little monster in one shot!!
I can see why you want to protect it.

I must admit, the attitude of modern society doesn't half grate at times. I'm now' allergic' to going into town on a Saturday.
To have a quiet bolt hole somewhere with loads of driveway space would be fantastic. Would love to do my own Grand design.....like that will ever happen!

That's why we live where we do Paul! I've lived in the gloomy Midlands and the
least said about Essex the better apart from saying I hated it!

We do live in a beautiful country just thinking of my homeland in Northumberland,
and the Lakes District running up through to lower Scotland. I've not seen much
of North Wales but would imagine it would be the same and Southern Ireland and
South Wales being of similar Geology.

NIce nice nice NICE Love the dog! See whay my XM got out of you lot here, with a little help of Connemara...And I got even nicer citroens....actually it's my wifes!

Well Andcmit, booked the ferry to Wales in December, so will be on the hunt with my furry four legged one accompanying, and who knows the word 'beach'!.
Llandudno, Llanellyi, I've got a nose for those things but thanks for the hint!
And Russ, to have a quiet bolt hole somewhere with loads of driveway space IS fantastic. One day you'll do your own Grand design.....it'll happen. When you least expect it, usually. Happened to me too, got my own road even! No speed limits! (not really that long though to be totally honest...)
