Smart car; white is starting to grow on me and I used to really dislike the idea of a white car
- wonder if it has something to do with Police cars being silver now?

Just to make us all even more green and jealous, you're not going to say it was only £50 are you!?

I am very pleased with it, the performance is great, even though I have only been able to drive it on back roads.

I wish I got the damn thing for £50!

Of course as with every XM, there are a few foibles and characteristics, the most notable being a missing headlamp washer cover, broke electric window cables x 2, and hoomped dot matrix.

The other problems are with the fans, both cooling and interior blower. The car has no air con either.

The cooling fans came on as soon as I stopped the engine, I took the relays out to avoid flattening the batteries. The interior blower wasn't working either when I got it, but after investigating it today, an inline fuse was missing. When the fuse was replaced, the blower worked, but when the ignition switch was turned of also.

I had a similar issue with the cooling fans staying on after stopping with the 2.1, a new relay cured that one, so hopefully the same will work for this car.

Any suggestions as to why the interior blower is staying on before I wire it to the ignition switch for supply.

Um...the notorious underbonnet fuse burnt out so it was bypassed and wired into perminant live rather than adding a desent fuse holder?, well i thought i would go for an interesting expenation

Interior blower. Does it have the engine running relay that only allows the blower system to come on line with the engine running. Could be that or someone has by-passed it.

Dont know how ive missed this, in fact ive not looked at most of the threads in this members cars topic.

However it looks really very nice, nice low mileage too.

White is certainly one of the best colours for the Xm hatch, so long as they are not colour coded.

You do keep your cars very nice, they all look great 8-)

Beautiful car, good to have saved it. Bonne route!!

cheers
George

ps. I notice it has the long version of the S2 spoiler, while Citroenmad's one has the short version. Weird, thought UK cars never got the long version, and I don't know what it depends on -trim level or was it an extra?-.
